The State Arboretum was established on the University of Utah campus in 1961 for the purpose of further developing a knowledge and appreciation of trees ands shrubs. It consists of plantings throughout the University campus as well as a separate facility in Red Butte Canyon adjacent to the University. This collection contains meeting minutes, reports, and correspondence related to Arboretum programs and to the planning and construction of the Red Butte Canyon facility
